Mouse infestation discovered in a Waupaca-area home. Entry around utility penetrations and the foundation was sealed and activity stopped.
A Waupaca homeowner called after hearing scratching in the walls and finding droppings in the kitchen pantry. Our inspection identified mouse entry around utility penetrations and a gap in the foundation where the sill plate met the concrete.
We placed tamper-resistant bait stations along the active travel routes and sealed every entry point we could find — copper mesh and caulk around the utility penetrations, and a concrete patch on the foundation crack. Monitoring stations were installed in the basement and pantry so we could confirm the colony was cleared.
A two-week follow-up visit confirmed no new droppings and no activity on the monitors. The homeowners have not heard or seen a mouse since. We enrolled the property in a quarterly preventative program to keep it that way.
Every worthwhile Mid State job produces a field report like this one — real evidence, not just a claim that we serve Waupaca.
