A Community We're Proud to Serve
New London sits at the junction of the Wolf and Embarrass Rivers in Waupaca County, about 20 miles northwest of Appleton. Founded in 1851, the city grew as a logging and milling town and remains a vibrant community of around 7,000 residents. Known as the 'Cultural Center of Waupaca County,' New London blends riverfront recreation, a historic downtown, and surrounding farmland. The Wolf River corridor brings both outdoor enthusiasts and elevated pest pressure — particularly mosquitoes, rodents, and wasps throughout the warmer months.
The Wolf River Corridor Creates Unique Pest Pressure
New London sits where the Wolf River meets Waupaca County's mix of residential neighborhoods, commercial corridors, and surrounding farmland. This creates elevated pest pressure throughout every season:
- Spring: Carpenter ants and pavement ants emerge and invade kitchens and foundation walls.
- Summer: Wolf River mosquitoes peak — backyard activity becomes uncomfortable without treatment.
- Summer–Fall: Wasp and hornet nests in eaves, walls, and underground become aggressive.
- Fall: Field mice and deer mice migrate from surrounding farmland into homes seeking warmth.
- Winter–Spring: Overwintering insects like box elder bugs and stink bugs emerge indoors.
"New London is one of our most active service areas. The Wolf River brings great fishing — and plenty of mosquitoes. We've helped hundreds of New London families take back their homes."

Surrounded by farmland, New London homes see heavy rodent migration every fall as mice seek warm shelter indoors.
