Roaches spread bacteria, trigger asthma, and multiply at alarming speed. Whether it is German, American, or Oriental roaches, we match the treatment to the species — bait & IGR, residual & dust, or a combined IPM program. Learn to identify them in our pest glossary, read about our Integrated Pest Management approach, or see our Wisconsin service areas.
Different roaches need different treatments. Here are the three species we deal with across Northeast Wisconsin — and the signs that mean it is time to call.
Light brown with two dark stripes behind the head. The #1 indoor roach — explosive breeders. One female can produce thousands of offspring in a year. Lives in kitchens, bathrooms, and appliances.
Large, reddish-brown. Found in basements, drains, sewers, and boiler rooms. Can fly in warm, humid conditions. Often enters from plumbing and utility lines.
Dark, shiny black-brown. Prefers cool, damp areas — basements, floor drains, mulch, and crawlspaces. Often called the "water bug." Slower-moving but persistent.
Droppings — pepper-like specks (German) or larger dark pellets (American/Oriental)
Egg cases (ootheca) glued in cracks, under appliances, or in cabinet corners
Musty odor in heavy infestations — a telltale sign of a large population
Shed skins from molting nymphs in harborage areas
The right method depends on the species and severity. Not sure which fits? We will recommend after a free inspection.
Targeted colony elimination
Non-repellent gel baits are placed precisely in the cracks, crevices, and under-sink runs where roaches travel. Roaches feed and carry the bait back to the nest for a secondary kill. Paired with an insect growth regulator (IGR) that sterilizes nymphs and stops reproduction — breaking the cycle at its source.
German cockroach infestations in kitchens and bathrooms, food-service environments, and homes where a low-chemical, targeted approach is preferred.
Fast knockdown + harborage reach
A residual insecticide is applied to baseboards, cracks, and harborage areas to kill roaches on contact and for weeks after. Insecticidal dust is applied inside wall voids, behind outlets, and under appliances — the deep harborage zones baits cannot reach — to flush and eliminate hidden populations.
American and Oriental roaches in basements and drains, heavy infestations needing fast visible knockdown, and perimeter defense.
Complete colony + prevention
The comprehensive approach: gel bait + IGR to wipe out the colony and stop reproduction, residual + dust for harborage and fast knockdown, plus sanitation and exclusion guidance and monitoring traps. A multi-visit protocol that eliminates the current infestation and prevents its return.
Heavy or recurring infestations, multi-unit buildings, restaurants and food service, and the highest-confidence elimination.

Every situation is unique. We will recommend the best method for your home after a free inspection.
We identify the species, locate harborage and entry points, and assess severity — the right method depends entirely on which roach you have.
Baits, IGRs, residuals, and dusts are applied precisely where roaches hide and travel — not broadcast across your living space.
We give you a clear plan to remove food, water, and harborage, and seal the entry points that let roaches in.
We recheck, re-bait, and use monitoring traps to confirm elimination. Our guarantee means we return if activity does.
Foggers scatter roaches, pyrethroids are resisted, and eggs hide in appliances. By the time you see them, the colony is large.
Follow-up inspections included. If activity returns, we re-treat at no extra cost.
Unmarked vehicles available. Certified technicians trained in roach biology and bait strategy.
