Spider & Boxelder Bug — New London Fall Invaders

Inspection

Every fall a New London homeowner faced an invasion of spiders and boxelder bugs coming indoors as the weather cooled. Fall invaders are one of the most common late-season pest calls across Waupaca County.

What We Found

• Boxelder bugs clustering on the sunny south and west walls and squeezing in around windows

Treatment

We applied a fall perimeter treatment to the foundation, around windows and doors, and the sunny walls where boxelder bugs congregate, then sealed the gaps around windows and the foundation. Reducing the entry points is what actually stops fall invaders — the spray alone won't.

Follow-Up

The invasion stopped and the home stayed pest-free through the winter. A pre-fall preventative treatment each September now keeps this New London home ahead of the fall invader rush.
